What is Rebuilding Together Omaha? We are an affiliate to the nation-wide organization of Rebuilding Together. Rebuilding Together is the nation's leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities. This means the we believe disabled and aging homeowners should be able to remain in their homes for as long as possible. The Rebuilding Together Mission is to provide free rehabilitation and critical repairs to the homes of low-income Americans. The Rebuilding Together Vision is a safe and healthy home for every person. Since our establishment in Omaha, Rebuilding Together has helped to renovate over 1050 homes in the community. The majority of the low-income homeowners we serve are elderly or disabled individuals or residents who are physically and financially unable to maintain safe and warm living conditions for themselves and their families. Each spring during our Rebuilding "blitz" days, we gather donated materials and rally hundreds of volunteers to help repair and rehabilitate homes providing both major and minor repairs and renovations that result in life-changing improvements for the homeowners served.
