Our Healthy At Home "Emergency Repair Program" is our highest priority as a year around program. If a homeowners toilet is broken in July, they cannot wait until April to get it repaired. This program supplements the annual Rebuilding Day volunteer program.

We use some volunteers but mostly paid trade professionals to respond to serious emergency needs that cannot wait for the annual rebuilding day. Repairs include broken toilet and plumbing repairs; electrical emergencies; gas leaks; caving foundations; slip and fall hazards; and other serious problems requiring immediate attention.

The Healthy At Home Initiative supplements housing and home repair services offered by the City of Omaha, League of Human Dignity, Visiting Nurses Association, Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging, Greater Omaha Community Action, Family Housing Advisory Services, and is considered a safety net designed to cut through red tape and “fix” problems on an immediate basis.

If you have a church group that is willing to work during the year - teams come from outreach programs of retired folks looking for ways to help others throughout the year. Please consider joining our fantastic group of year around volunteers like St. Andrews United Methodist Churches “Charlie's Angels”.
